Thomas E. Springmann

RACINE, WISCONSIN - Thomas E. Springmann, 59, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2007, at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born in Gary, Ind. on July 24, 1947, to Glenn and Ruth (nee: Warner) Springmann. On August 2, 1969, Tom was united in marriage to Joyce Peyer in Aurora, Ind. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Tom was a Financial Associate with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Associates (NAIFA). Previously, he taught Latin and reading at William Horlick High School. Tom was active as an organist and pianist and enjoyed family music activities, car and home maintenance, and camping. Tom is survived by is his wife, Joyce; their five children, Paul (Penelope) of Orlando, Fla., Elizabeth (James) Wolff of Silver Lake, Philip of Arlington, Va., Daniel, and John, both of Racine; three grandsons, Marcus Wolff and Jackson and Paul W. Springmann; and a brother, David (Theresa) Springmann of Fort Wayne, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva Street, on Friday, May 25, 2007, at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Gehne officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
